Iron Man & Other Marvel Anime

July 30th, 2009

Watch that Iron Man anime trailer, it’s special. Also, if you want to read about or checkout the Wolverine trailer, checking out this ANN article. This looks quite cool and I hope the story is as good as the animation seems to be.

New Toshinden?

June 28th, 2009

It looks like Kotaku is reporting that Toshinden might be getting a bit of a Wii Revival. The original Battle Arena Toshinden back on Playstation one was always a favorite fighting game. I wonder if the Wii update/sequal will be worth playing or not?

Current Music: Christian Smith & John Selway – Move! (Steve Angello Remix)

Superion Fan Project

June 28th, 2009

So I heard about this crazy add on for the Target exclusive Superion that recently came out, but once I saw it, I was in awe. I first ran across it on TRCP and some more pictures of this project can seen in this forum post. The Fans Project has done some other pretty cool releases like the City Commander set for Transformers Universe Ultra Magnus. I have not bought any of their other project’s yet, but this one looks like it’s worth it!

Another Psychedelic video, because it’s funny

June 17th, 2009

Just found out about this song last night and found the video this morning. The song is quite funny similar to Weird Al’s ebay song, but somehow more funny. Check out this song that sounds like The Doors and even has The Doors own Ray Manzarek on Keyboard.

The Continued Music Industry Shift

March 24th, 2009

It’s about time for my what seems to be a monthly post.

This time, I’ve got the music industry on my mind again. Some of the thinking started when I visited a local Border’s and found out there were clearing out all of the CD & DVD stock and that they would no longer have anything other then top 10 albums and the most recent releases. I was wondering how wide spread this was and then ran across this Consumerist article that mentions it’s happening at multiple Borders. This start me thinking about how it used to be the users pushing the music industry to go to digital distribution, and now it seems to be happening and I seem to have a bittersweet feeling about it.

The music industry and the current global econimc downturn is now pushing us to start using digital downloads. I know I first started getting interested in the history of the music industry aftering hearing a book review on NPR about the book called Appetite for Self-Destruction by Steve Knopper. This fantastic read goes into how the music industry downfall really started all the way back when the market started booming back in the Disco era and how the music industry has been struggling to keep up ever since. Although, now it seems like the music industry is finally starting to embrace digital media. I started realzing this when I found out Borders is cutting back stock, the BMG music service soon to be closeing service on June 30th, 2009, that I’m now limited to using online stores like Amazon.com and then buying music ditially via the Apple iTunes Store and Beatport. There are also numerous other online digital music sites as well.

In closing, I still will miss my visits to local record stores to get my music fix and I guess CD’s may eventually become a relic of the past and we will start to reminise about missing unique music cover art as well.

Street Fighter IV!

February 20th, 2009

So last night started my trying to get back into the Street Fighter IV groove. I realize that I’m a bit out of it, but after playing the game for a couple of hours, it left me feeling like….well, like how this comic describes. So I need to spend more time with the game so I can beat the stupid cheap AI at times. Or I can just go back to doing Xboxlive battles! Smiley

New Röyksopp Album Coming In March!

January 12th, 2009

On March 24th, 2009 it sounds like Röyksopp will be releasing their 3rd album Junior. I’m really in the mood for a new Röyksopp, so their timing couldn’t be better.
