PWR PAK

So as I was doing the daily commute I see the funny vanity license plate of the day. Today’s is ‘PWR PAK’. Of course, the first thing I think of is the Power Pack comic from Marvel comics, which just for reference look like this (at least in my memory).

I have fond memories of this series from when I was young. Anyway, these days, Power Pack looks more manga like, another picture for reference:

It’s interesting to see what comic book creators have to do to keep kids reading comics. Smiley

Oh and as a last side note, the type of car with the license plate, Black Cadillac.

The only reason I knew of Power Pack was because they guest-starred in the Uncanny X-Men while I was still collecting – I think an issue in the 190s.  (It scares me that I remember that.)  *  So how was the old Power Pack comic?

The old Power Pack comic was actually quite good. It was fun and enjoyable and felt like a real part of the Marvel Universe. The new stuff doesn’t seem to get that same feeling.

I always hated their leg warmer-thingies.  I also remember that they used to eat a lot of popcorn, and that Artie was the coolest.
